Patrick represents injured individuals, including railroad and maritime employees in actions brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and the Jones Act. Patrick has first chair jury trial experience and extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to joining Schlichter Bogard & Denton, Patrick worked in litigation at a large, international law firm. Patrick was selected as a 2018 Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Star”, an honor reserved for less than 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in the state.
Patrick earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where he received the Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution Award at graduation. In addition to serving as a senior editor on a law journal, Patrick competed nationally on Wash U’s business negotiation and mediation teams. He earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Illinois Wesleyan University, where he was a member of the varsity baseball team. He was the sole recipient of the faculty award for Outstanding Achievement in Humanities at graduation.
Prior to law school, Patrick spent two years teaching middle school in north St. Louis City with Teach for America. He also spent six months living and teaching in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Outside of the office, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and their two dogs. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing on his family’s farm whenever he gets the chance.
