Steve is counsel with the firm and represents individual clients in complex litigation, including railroad employees in actions brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act and whistleblowers in False Claims Act matters. Steve has extensive experience as lead counsel in a broad range of cases, including personal injury, employment, environmental, fraud, and appellate matters. He has handled cases from inception through discovery, and ultimately in trial and on appeal when necessary.
Prior to joining Schlichter Bogard & Denton, Steve served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Missouri, where he represented the United States of America in an array of civil matters, both as a plaintiff and as a defendant. He also previously worked as a litigator at a large civil defense firm. Steve received his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he also served as Chief Articles Editor of the Washington University Law Review.
Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, composing and recording music, and listening to podcasts.
