Jerry Schlichter Quoted in Wall Street Journal Article Regarding Retirement Investing
Schlichter Bogard Partner Jerry Schlichter was quoted in a recent Wall Street Journal article concerning the consequences of allowing private equity investments in 401(k) accounts.
In the article, Jerry points out that retirement-plan sponsors will have a difficult time proving that private-equity investments are a well-advised choice for ordinary savers. “Sponsors are at serious risk if they choose to put private equity into their plans,” Jerry said. “There are lots and lots of issues with including private equity in 401(k) plans, from high fees to illiquidity, higher leverage and opacity”.
The article also highlights the extensive work that Schlichter Bogard has done in pioneering litigation on behalf of retirement plan participants.
