Schlichter Bogard Files Lawsuit on Behalf of Weyerhaeuser Plan Participants Over $1.5 Billion Pension Risk Transfer

As reported by numerous outlets, Schlichter Bogard has filed suit against Weyerhaeuser on behalf of its pension plan participants.

The complaint alleges that the defendants violated the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) when they transferred $1.5 billion of pension obligations to a private equity-backed insurance company, putting the future retirement benefits owed to Weyerhaeuser retirees and their beneficiaries at risk of default.
