Schlichter Bogard Partner Kristine Kraft Appointed to Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in Suboxone Multidistrict Litigation
Kristine Kraft, a partner in Schlichter Bogard’s Pharmaceutical and Consumer Protection practice groups, has been appointed to the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in multidistrict litigation concerning the use of the Suboxone. The appointment was made on March 8, 2024, by order of U.S. District Judge J. Philip Calabrese.
The lawsuit claims that Suboxone, a drug used to curb opioid addiction, can cause substantial dental problems. The drug, in the form of dissolvable film, is acidic and can cause severe tooth decay resulting in tooth loss, cavities, and oral infections. The suit claims this risk was not conveyed to doctors or patients.
