Schlichter Bogard Files Lawsuit Against TIAA and Morningstar Over Retirement Investment Advice
As reported by numerous outlets, Schlichter Bogard has filed suit against TIAA and Morningstar on behalf of members of university-sponsored retirement plans.
The complaint alleges that the defendants designed the TIAA Retirement Advisor and Retirement Plan Portfolio Manager tools to suggest two of TIAA’s most profitable proprietary investment products, and that TIAA leveraged its position as recordkeeper to employer-sponsored plans to make recommendations that favored its own products.
