U.S. Supreme Court Rejects Attempt by Doe Run to Halt Lead Poisoning Lawsuit Brought by Schlichter Bogard

As reported by Law360, the U.S. Supreme Court has rejected a bid by Doe Run Resources to halt a lawsuit brought by Schlichter Bogard on behalf of more than 1,000 Peruvians who allege that they were subjected to lead poisoning.

Originally filed in 2007, the lawsuit alleges that Doe Run failed to reduce lead emissions at a Peruvian smelting and refining complex, resulting in significant injuries and harms.
