Managing Partner Jerry Schlichter Named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s “Power 30” in Commercial and Consumer Litigation

Schlichter Bogard & Denton managing partner Jerry Schlichter was named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s (“MLW”) “Power 30” in Commercial and Consumer Litigation. The Power List recognizes top attorneys who lead and influence the Missouri legal community.

In its feature, MLW credits Mr. Schlichter with “pioneering” Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”) excessive fee cases, a “niche area of law” that “has paid off with record-setting cases, including a $62 million settlement in 2015 on behalf of Lockheed Martin employees, a $57 million settlement that same year for Boeing employees and a $55 million settlement last year for employees of ABB.” MLW goes on to reference a New York Times article that dubbed Mr. Schlichter “a lone ranger of the 401(k)s.”

As noted by MLW, “[s]uch cases can take years and a massive outlay of resources.”

Mr. Schlichter is the third Schlichter Bogard & Denton attorney to be named to the inaugural edition of The Power List. Earlier this year, attorneys Kristine Kraft and Roger Denton were named to the Power 30 in Personal Injury Law.
