Senior Partner Nelson Wolff Named to Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s POWER List

Schlichter Bogard & Denton Senior Partner Nelson Wolff has been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly in its 2022 edition of the POWER List, focusing on personal injury lawyers who lead and influence the Missouri legal community.

Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s article accompanying the award spotlights some of Nelson’s accomplishments:

“Nelson Wolff has been involved in some of the biggest railroad-injury cases in Missouri history. Earlier this year, he secured an $8.3 million settlement for a freight railroad conductor who lost part of his leg when he was knocked from a train at a wastepaper collection facility. It exceeded a $7 million settlement that Wolff reached in a similar case in 2015 in St. Louis County. In 2014, he won a $12.5 million verdict in Jefferson County for a railroad worker whose leg was crushed by a slow-moving freight train after he tripped and fell onto the tracks. He also is involved in a long-running case in Missouri federal court alleging hundreds of children have suffered brain damage from industrial smelting operations in Peru. Wolff is a former member of the board of governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and he is a longtime member of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys. He also is a co-founder and benefactor of the D.L. Wolff Scholarship Fund at the University of Missouri School of Law in honor of his father, a renowned civil rights attorney.”

Please join us in congratulating Nelson on this accomplishment.
