Zoë Seaman-Grant

Zoë works primarily on behalf of clients in complex litigation matters, with a particular focus on data privacy and ERISA cases. Prior to joining Schlichter Bogard, Zoë worked for two nationally recognized plaintiffs’ firms, where she handled data privacy and consumer class actions. She has been appointed class counsel in numerous class actions, recovering millions of dollars in settlements for clients, and has significant experience with discovery, depositions, and dispositive motion practice.

Among other results for her clients, Zoë was appointed class counsel in a case brought under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act that secured the highest per-person relief ever secured in a BIPA case of its size. Zoë was also instrumental in securing a landmark settlement on behalf of Illinois residents against Clearview AI, a facial recognition database, that required Clearview to stop making its database available to private individuals. As part of a team of lawyers, Zoë also worked to secure millions of dollars in settlements for customers of a security company after an employee of the company used customers’ home security cameras to surreptitiously spy on customers and their families for approximately ten years.

Zoë received her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 2021, where she served as an editor for the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. She also served as a board member of Sexual Assault & Harassment Legal Services, a law student-run organization that assisted university students who experienced sexual assault and harassment with navigating the Title IX reporting process. She spent her summers at the New York Office of the Attorney General and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP.

Prior to law school, Zoë earned her B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from Bates College. During her time at Bates, Zoë was named the Top Speaker at the U.S. Universities Debating Championship and was a finalist at the World Universities Debating Championship.
