Schlichter Bogard Managing Partner Jerry Schlichter Featured in Article Highlighting His Leadership Role in Helping Displaced Afghan Refugees Resettle in St. Louis
Schlichter Bogard & Denton Managing Partner Jerry Schlichter was featured this week in multiple articles (including those published by St. Louis Public Radio and The St. Louis Post Dispatch) recognizing his leadership role in helping displaced Afghan refugees find a permanent home in St. Louis.
In collaboration with the International Institute of St. Louis, the St. Louis Archdiocese, and various civic and business leaders, the effort spearheaded by Jerry aims to support current and prospective Afghan refugees seeking to resettle in St. Louis. The multi-pronged mission includes providing housing assistance and business grants, as well as the establishment of an Afghan newspaper, chamber of commerce, and recreational/community center.
As quoted in St. Louis Public Radio, Jerry Schlichter stated as follows: “Throughout our history, immigrants have been vital to the success of America, and to St. Louis. The immigrants St. Louis has welcomed over the years have brought a work ethic along with an infusion of their unique culture that have strengthened neighborhoods and made our community a better place to live.”
