Schlichter Bogard Welcomes Joshua Katz, Ja’Mecia Laws, and Victoria St. Jean
Schlichter Bogard & Denton is very pleased to welcome three attorneys: Joshua Katz, Ja’Mecia Laws, and Victoria St. Jean.
Joshua joins Schlichter Bogard & Denton following clerkships with the Honorable Paul B. Matey of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (2021-22), the Honorable Victor Wolski of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (2020-21), and the Honorable Clint Bolick of the Arizona Supreme Court (2019-20).
Joshua graduated summa cum laude in 2019 from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Washington University Law Review. In addition to his law degree, Mr. Katz holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut, where he studied logic. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from SUNY Geneseo.
Ja’Mecia graduated from Washington University School of Law in 2022, where she was a Scholar in Law Award recipient. During her time at Washington University, Ja’Mecia served as Vice President of the Black Law Student Association, and externed with the Missouri Public Defender System in St. Louis City and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois.
Ja’Mecia graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences/Political Science in the fall of 2018.
Victoria graduated from Washington University School of Law in 2022, where she was Executive Notes Editor of the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy and a Scholar in Law Award recipient. While in law school, Victoria interned with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and participated in the Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic and the Civil Rights, Community Justice & Mediation Clinic, where she focused on reducing blight and abandoned properties in the City of St. Louis.
Victoria received her B.A. magna cum laude in history and politics from Brandeis University in 2019.
